LA is seeking a full time Sr. Finisher experienced in hi resolution imaging and key art finishing to join our Print Production team. You will work with a passionate team of Creative Directors, Art Directors, Account Executives, Project Managers, and more to present the best version of approved art for final delivery. The ideal candidate understands and can execute client objectives and desired campaign look while maintaining LA’s creative standards.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute hi res imaging and key art finishing, comprehending and achieving client objectives and desired campaign look

  • Evaluate and perform basic retouching, compositing, and file rebuilding with attention to campaign reference and production efficiency

  • Prepare and optimize files following client specific workflows and protocols

  • Retouch approved art and improve overall detailing for final delivery

  • Keep leads apprised of changes and developments that may impact delivery and quality objectives

  • Follow company and client security policy and asset management protocols

  • Various other duties as assigned such as design and or build high end assets for other designers

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5 or more years of professional experience as a Finisher, preferably in entertainment and promotional print

  • Impressive portfolio demonstrating key art one sheet finishes

  • Expert level Photoshop skills, including digital painting and blending, adjustment layers consolidation, smart objects, frequency separation, and color work

  • Mastery of masking and selections, including hair, fur, intricate edges, and challenging silhouettes

  • Strong retouching abilities, including skin, wardrobe, texture correction, cleanup, and subtle enhancements

  • Photoreal paint work, including adding or removing details, rebuilding shapes, and extending environments

  • Lighting and shading matching, applying consistent highlights, shadows, rim lighting, ambient light logic

  • Color grading and color correction across complex comps

  • File prep for print and digital, including CMYK knowledge, sharpening, noise control, bleed prep, safe edges, and file organization

  • Non destructive workflow, including layer cleanliness and labeling, logical restructuring, prep for versioning and handoff

  • Compositing skills, including integrating multiple plates, matching grain, depth, and atmosphere

  • Ability to work with 3D renders, including cleaning up aliased edges, fixing render artifacts, enhancing materials

  • Strong sense of realism, understanding of form, anatomy, perspective, fabric behavior, lighting, and materiality

  • Visual problem solving under imperfect or limited assets

  • Flexibility in style, able to mimic or match a project’s visual tone

Necessary Production & Workflow Skills:

  • Comfort working in fast paced, deadline driven environments

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working with creative directors, designers, and account teams

  • Clear communication around timelines and feasibility

  • Efficient version control and organization

  • Ability to follow creative direction while offering expert finishing insight

  • Experience interpreting client notes and translating them into actionable finishing tasks

The starting base compensation range for this position is $145,000 to $150,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, location, prior experience, and education.

  • Sharp visual acuity is required for quality control and a high level of detail, including close vision for fine details and accurate color vision

  • Proficiency with computer software and tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and project management platforms such as Wrike, requiring precise manual dexterity and eye hand coordination

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining strong attention to detail

  • Frequent and repetitive motions using keyboard, mouse, and stylus to make fine adjustments, create masks, paint, and correct perspective during extended work sessions

  • Occasional standing and walking during team sessions or reviews, with the ability to reach and operate standard office and creative equipment

  • Work requires precise hand eye coordination
